Well... How to review this book?... I think WOW is the first word that enters my mind!I read this book in just 1 night, I couldn't put it down. It gives an interesting highlight to peer-preasure, parental preasure, and not being strong and daring enough to follow your heart's desires. It's a heartbreaking story, a story about consequences for our actions and how what seems "logical" might just be your worst choice.
I must congratulate the author for the way in which she wrote this, and I honestly hope this book will make people reflect on their choices and think not twice but 4 times before they yield under external preassure.
A must read!

I received an ecopy of Clipped in exchange for an honest review.
I looked forward to reading this and was anticipating a look into what young girls go through when faced a teen pregnancy and the choices available. The story was good and very touching. I felt like there could have been more character development because I felt at times like I didnt really know them and struggled to relate with them or believe their internal struggles with the decisions they were faced with. It was a quick enoyable read!
Stories don't need to be long to be powerful! That being said not every story that needs to be told is a happy go lucky, feel good story.
Drawn into the world of teen angst and all that goes with it ~ this is a book that should be read by teens EVERYWHERE.
Actions have consequences. When you are 17 you feel invincible and the "rules" don't apply to you until something stops you in your tracks!
Something DID stop Lauren in her tracks and derailed her too. I dare you not to yell at her "best friend" or curse in consternation about her mother as Lauren tries to get herself back or cry as she feels the depths that only true depression brings forth.
Kudos to Sara V. Zook I cannot wait to read her other two books!
Very much enjoyed this book. Didn't want to put it down. Wanted too much to know what would happen next. Stayed up late reading it! Keep them coming Sara!!
This is a story that had to be written. Powerful and deeply moving, this is a must read for teenagers and those that love them.
Every young girl should read this book. As an adult, you forget about how much others can affect your life and your choices. This book does an excellent job of putting the reader in the young girl's shoes and seeing the emotional turmoil that she endures. At one point, I just wanted to say "No, don't do it!." In life everyone makes choices and even though you may or may not like the choice, you have to live with it. This book really puts things in perspective.
I have considered myself pro-choice,but after reading this book I am really concerned about young teens going through something like this and not having the proper information or support group. I never realized what happens behind the scenes. We really need to educate young and old(I'm 58) about abortions. This book will make you think about what happens to all involved when someone goes through with an abortion.
I was very moved by this story line. Abortion is a very controversial topic, but typically the focus is on the babies. It was interesting to read about how detrimental the decision can be to the mother's life. As I read I felt Lauren Franks's pain, anguish, and regret. I would highly recommend this book for a good read. The subject is dark, but it has a great message and I hope it can positively impact some women's lives.
